JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – Global Advances Group executives were invited to Cyril Ramaphosa’s Presidential Investment Conference which highlights South African economic sectors ripe for investment. The South Africa Investment Conference is an annual event that brings together local and international investors to discuss opportunities for investment in the country.

This year’s conference was held in Sandton on March 24, 2022 and was attended by over 1,500 delegates. The conference featured a number of keynote speakers, panel discussions, and breakout sessions on topics ranging from infrastructure and energy to agriculture and tourism. The conference helped promote South Africa as a viable option for global investors. In addition, the conference provided a forum for delegates to network and explore potential partnerships, and to learn about the latest investment opportunities in South Africa. It was also an opportunity for the South African government to present its plans and priorities to the international investment community.

Commitments

At the Conference, the Global Advances Group committed to investing over $10 million US dollars over the next five years in key sectors ranging from digital services and cybersecurity, to tourism and hospitality.

Since launch in 2018, the South Africa Investment Conference (SAIC) has drawn delegates from South Africa and the rest of the world with the objective of showcasing the investment opportunities available in the country. The 4th South Africa Investment Conference builds on the successes of the previous editions of SAIC and showcased the strengths and competitive advantages that South Africa offers and why it is an ideal investment destination for local as well international investors looking to grow in Africa. To date, SAIC has attracted more than R1.14 trillion worth of investment commitments.
